Black Warp
After he success of the first pigment discharge warp, I wanted to explore this technique further, however I wanted more contrast so the warp had to be as black as possible.

New Screens
Recently, we got some new screens made, we used some images from the archive and some from photos. Below are photos showing the warps on the table being printed, then how they look once they are woven into cloth.
Ikat
At the end of the project, we aim to publish a book which will combine a history of Shadow tissues with the technical exploration I have carried out and the results I have achieved. We hope to include many actual fabric samples; below are photos documenting the process of creating an Ikat length for the book.
New York and London
In September and October I visited London and New York. I went to London for The London Design Festival, I visited 100% Design, Design Junction, Chelsea Harbour and Decorex, along with my usual trips to museums and shops. In New York, apart from being inspired by just about everything I saw, I visted the Decoration and Design Building where I saw some amazing warp prints that were particularly relevant to the project.
